The Almeda Booth Suite is located upstairs in the original part of the Inn. This room is typically used for families of prospective students who are visiting the college. It has two full-size poster beds. The décor is French provincial with green and white toile wallpaper that contrasts nicely with the dark cherry furnishings.

About Almeda Ann Booth
Almeda Ann Booth was the first female faculty member at Hiram College. She was born in Nelson, Ohio, in 1823 and taught in the local school districts until coming to the College in 1851. In 1854, Booth earned her bachelor's degree from Oberlin College. She then returned to Hiram where she taught Latin, Greek and mathematics. In 1865, Booth moved to Cuyahoga Falls and later became superintendent of the public school system there. Upon her death in 1875, she was eulogized by her former colleague and peer, Hiram College alumnus and twentieth President of the United States James A. Garfield.
