The Daniel Tilden Suite is located upstairs in the original part of the house. It has a queen-sized bed that some say is the 'most comfortable bed in the Inn'. This room has soft yellow walls with rose-colored accents and accessories, including a painting on the wall that invites our guests to take a walk in the park and then enjoy a peaceful and tranquil night’s sleep. The shaker style furniture makes this room a favorite for those guests who appreciate the history and culture of Ohio’s Western Reserve.
About Daniel Tilden
Daniel Tilden was one of the founding fathers of Hiram Township. In the early years of the nineteenth century, Tilden purchased a large tract of land located in the Connecticut Western Reserve that included the present-day village of Hiram. Tilden, who was an officer in the American Revolution and a Royal Arch Freemason, named the township in commemoration of Hiram from Tyre, the craftsman who is described in I Kings 7:13-14, as "filled with wisdom, and understanding, and cunning to work all works in brass works on the ornamentation of Solomon's temple in Jerusalem."
