The Jessie Brown Pounds Suite is as pretty as a picture. The lovely tiny flowered wallpaper and the antique queen sized bed along with two sitting chairs makes this room a lovely get-a-way for any romantic at heart.

About Jessie Brown Pounds
Jessie Brown Pounds was born in Hiram in 1861. A prolific writer, she began submitting articles to Cleveland newspapers and religious publications at the age of 15. Before her marriage at the age of thirty-five to Reverend John Pounds, she worked regularly for the publishing arm of the Christian Church/Disciples of Christ and contributed to the Christian Standard and the Christian Evangelist. Though she authored nine books and numerous short stories and poems, she is best known within Disciples of Christ congregations for her hymns, in particular "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere." She died in Hiram in 1921 and is buried in the village cemetery."
